Improving Learning
About Us

Secondary Headteacher, Tony Rawdin: "Coaching for Excellent Learning has been one of the most powerful forms of continuing professional development that I have seen. Assessment for Learning provided an ideal focus for developing coaching skills that can now be employed throughout Norton College. Every teacher involved in the programme has benefitted enormously."

Primary Pupils: "Are we doing Let's Think again today?" Evaluation has shown that even after 6 months, the pupils can recall clear details of the lessons and say what they liked about them.

Headteacher, Braeburn Nusery and Infant School: "Pupils with speech and language difficulties and receiving help from speech therapy made such progess that 3 out of 5 were no longer registered for extra aupport. This has never happened before."

Feedback from Thinking Skills Coaches: "Coaching other teachers to improve their teaching has definitely imroved my own teaching and not just in thinking skills lessons."

Vicky Howgate, Boroughbridge CP: "Let's Think training was excellent and really impacted on my teaching by adding challenge and showing me how to let the pupils explore their thoughts. They come up with fantastic answers and explanations. It definitely improved their speaking and listening, mathematical problem solving and the pupils are more comfortable with the opinions of others - reducing behavoural problems."

Advanced Skills Teachers: Heather Marsh "Let's Think changed the way I think about my teaching and the children love it".
